This adventure concludes the visiting of the most famous places of interest in Kyrgyz Republic. During this tour you will visit the tower of Burana that was constructed in the 11th c. A. D. and is one of the oldest minarets on the territory of Central Asia; also you will see Issik Kul Lake - the Pearl of Tien - Shan Mountains. Issyk - Kul is the 2nd largest mountain lake in the world and the biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan. Moreover, we are going to show you ancient petroglyphs that refer to the 8th c. B.C. and many other places that will attract your attention.
Tour summary:
Day 1: Bishkek - Burana Tower - Issyk Kul Lake
You will be met by your guide in the airport and transferred (270km) to the hotel in Cholpon Ata, which is situated on the Issyk - Kul (1600 m. a. s. l.) lake northern shore. En route to the lake, we will visit the Burana Tower Historical Complex that includes Burana minaret from the 11th century, reconstructed foundadions of the medieval mausoleums, the hill that used to be khan's palace and the open air Balbals (stone warriors) cemetery. Lunch is on the way to Cholpon - Ata. Cholpon - Ata is the resort town, cultural and historical center of Issyk - Kul region.
Day 2: Issyk Kul Lake - Karakol
Transfer from Cholpon - Ata to Karakol is after breakfast. This day we will visit the ancient stone carvings that are dated back to 800 B.C., and the local museum of Issyk - Kul. Optionally, you can have one hour cruise on a steam boat to enjoy the lake's beauty. Overnight is in the guesthouse in Karakol.
Day 3: Karakol - Tamga
Breakfast. This morning will be devoted to a guided Karakol sightseeing tour. This tour includes the visit of an old wooden Orthodox Church. This will be followed by the visit of the Dungan mosque. One of its highlights is the fact that it is built in Chinese style without using a single metal nail. Soon after, you will visit Prjevalsky Museum. In the museum you hear the story about the life of the first Explorer of Central Asian nature. We will start our way to the impressive Jeti Oguz after lunch. Jeti Oguz is situated 30 km away from Karakol. It is the gorge of seven red rocks. There you will see also the Mountain that is split in two parts and has the name "Broken Heart". After that you will be transferred to Tamga Village.
Day 4: Tamga - Bishkek
We will drive along the southern show of Issyk-Kul Lake to Bishkek city after breakfast. Upon arrival in Bishkek you will have a sightseeing tour. You will visit many places of interest, such as the central Ala-Too Square, the History Museum, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Art Gallery, Pobeda Square (Victory Square), National Concert Hall, Oriental Bazaar. Lunch.
Day 5: Bishkek
At the pick up time arranged previously according to your flight details your guide will meet you the guesthouse at and accompany you to the International Airport of Manas.
