Introduction.
Our team is glad to introduce the history of Kyrgyzstan and as a result there is an introduction of the most essential information for the guests to know during the tour. The history is interesting so that it takes our breath away. Mainly it is connected with the nomadic life and the people living high in the mountains. They didn't create any building, as they were moving along the mountains putting the yurts. So, we have prepared the periods of the history of the country which are required to be known.
Prehistory (1 million years ago - 1 000 BC).
This is the period when the people started to live at the territory of the state, starting to develop the cultural and artistic life. The proof to it can be seen in the Rock Art Gallery in Cholpon Ata. There are images on the walls showing the life of the people, depicting animals and rituals.
Ancient History (1 000 BC - 300 AD).
According to this period, the name "Kyrgyz" goes to the 201 BC. As this is the year when there is data in the Chinese notes. In the chronicle "Historical notes" by Sima Tan and Chinese chronicle Han-shu (History of Han) of the 1st century by historian Ban Gu. In the second notes there are notes of the territory of the Kyrgyz state (Eastern Turkestan).
Turkic Era (500-1200).
All who travel in the country understand that this period was in some kind considered to be one of the saddest ones. In the 6-13th centuries the people were moving from the territory of the Turkic tribes to the Altai mountains. And unfortunately there are no any notes about the Kyrgyz people up to the 7th century. And then in the 7th century there appeared information about the Kyrgyz Kaganate. They settled at the banks of the Yenisei river.
The Mongol Rule (1200-1400).
This is the time of great suffering of the people due to the invasion of Mongols. The khan Genghis made a conquering in order to destroy the developed culture of the Turkic people. In the year 1207 the Kyrgyz of Yenisei came under his powers. The 12-15th centuries are marked by the development of Islam among the people. But that time as well as today we can still notes the shamans being in the mountains of the country.
Kyrgyz consolidation (1400-1800).
In the time of Kyrgyzstan tours it is possible to get to know that this period is known to be the one when in the 15th century the people were going to the modern territory from the Altai. They created states, but actually wanted to create the state with the only one leader. They failed and in the result there appeared the system of ethno-politics.
Russian Colonization (1770-1917).
Guests of the country can notice that this is the time when the Russian Empire started to exist at the modern territory. The reason was that the north suffered from threats of the southern tribes as well as the other external enemies in the face of China, Kokand and Kazakhs. That is why they went to ask for the protection of the Russians. The south was against it and it was taken by force. In the result there was created the administrative system.
Soviet Rule (1917-1991).
In 1917 the Bolsheviks came and destroyed the developed civilization of the Russian Empire. They promised absence of exploitation. The Kyrgyz people managed to create the republic during this period. Also such streams developed - art, culture, education, industry. But the government was against any kind of religion and it brought mass killings of the innocents.
Independent Kyrgyzstan (since 1991).
During the time of Kyrgyzstan tours our guests can get to know that the country started to be independent in 1991. This was the time when the Soviet Union fell and in 1992 the country started to be the part of the UN. Then in 1993 the Constitution was taken. But the country was not stable, there was economic and social crisis. Now it is a great country for a trip and everything is in the past.
