The territory of Kyrgyzstan was populated from the times ancient. The area knows the ancient civilizations named Saks, Usuns, and Huns replacing each other consequently. It was followed by the rise of Turkic dynasty which later fell into two main kingdoms and Kyrgyz people fell under the dominance of Western part of the country. Later in the 9th century having conquered the Uigur Khanate the Kyrgyz recognized their first independent country.

Late there was grounded the Khanate of Karakhanids during the 10-11th century. One of the most significant cities was the town Balasaguni named after the great Eastern philosopher Jusup Balasaguni. This city was the capital of the Karakhanids. You can visit this town even nowadays and get to see the leftovers of citadel and the tower of 24 meters. You are able to drive there for one hour.

The territory of the country was conquered by the Great Mongolian invader Genghis Khan in the 13 th century establishment the Mongolian Empire. After his death the Empire was split into many small kingdoms among his sons, and the territory of today's Kyrgyzstan was a part of the Chagatai Khanate.

In the medieval ages the Kyrgyz people went through challenging ethnic transformations and described by continuous wars between the local tribes as well as the attackers. Later the area was governed by the Kokand Khanate mostly by Uzbeks after which the district became part of the Russian Empire after a revolt in 1873 - 1876, and it has become part of the Soviet Union from which Kyrgyzstan withdrew in 1991, and we celebrate Independence day every year on the 31 of August.
