Our company wants to present you a perfect tour for tourists who like nature and trekking. We make an individual tour that will take place on the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. During this tour you will sleep not only in guesthouses but also in yurts - nomadic dwellings made of wood and felt, you will see also our renowned lake and real nomads. Welcome to our Celestial Kyrgyzstan!
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
You will be picked up by your guide at Manas International Airport and accompanied to Bishkek City. The drive will take 30 min. In Bishkek you start the day with a breakfast. After accommodation in a hotel*** that is situated in a calm part of the city you will have a rest. Afterwards we will go to the Natural Park Ala-Archa that is located on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan), in 45 km from Bishkek - capital of Kyrgyzstan. In the Ala-Arch gorge you will have an excursion; you will go to the top of a mountain to have a nice view of this glorious gorge. Return back to Bishkek. Traditional food will be served at 7 p.m. Overnight in the Hotel***.
Day 2: Bishkek - Jukku gorge
7 o'clock breakfast. Afterwards, you will start your trip to Jukku gorge by bus and your guide will tell you about nomads' life, their customs and extraordinary traditions. On the way we will visit the Burana Tower (minaret of the 11 century) and its attached open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). En route, we will drive through the stunning Boom Canyon. Then we will continue our trip along the southern shore of the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake to the Jukku gorge. Issyk - Kul is second largest mountainous lake in the world (1608 m. above sea level). This Lake is also known as "the pearl of Central Asia". As we arrive in Jukku gorge you will have hiking through the gorge to our tent camp where you will also spend the night. Dinner will be served in the camp.
Day 3: Jukku gorge
This day you will have acclimatization in Jukku gorge. In Jukku you explore its nature on your own hiking along the incredible gorge to take a bath in mineral hot water springs; go on its nearest peaks, visit red mountains or just relax in the atmosphere of calm nature. There are amazing red rocks, mountains, and a cave with the name "500 rams". It is a great chance to get familiar with nomadic traditions and its culture for the reason that there are nomads who still inhabit in yurts and come to this summer pastures with their livestock and they are very hospitable and friendly. It is possible to try national staple drink kumis (alcohol mare's milk) there. You will see the way of national food preparing and you will have a chance even to participate in the process to be closer to nomads' life. National dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
Day 4: Jukku gorge - Chon Kyzyl Suu
Breakfast. We are off for a hike through the Jukka gorge (2520m above sea level) to the gorge Chon Kyzyl Suu. You will hike along the Great Silk Ro just as well as ancient traders did. This unforgettable trip will uncover the sceneries of our heavenly mountains and terrific views of its pristine natural world. Stoping for a night at the campsite based right in the gorge.
Day 5: Chon Kyzyl Suu
After a delicous breakfast, at 9 am we depart from the camp and begin our hiking tour to the marvelous 2800m Ashu Tor pass. You will have an ascent after your lunch to an amazing mountain lake, which finds its origin in a glacier. Being lucky you might see mountain goats, ibex. Enjoy the view of the mountain lake we come back to the station. Our cooks will teach you the way of national meals making and you can even participate in the process of national dish "plov" cooking. This place is so distant from civilization and you can relax completely there and you will feel as if you are 1000 thousand years ago in wild Tian Shan Mountains.
Day 6: Chon Kyzyl Suu - Djeti Oguz
After a tasty traditional breakfast our way continue to impressive Djeti Oguz gorge. Have a hiking along magnificent places and you will be surprised how variable our mountains. Their views change so fast that you cannot even perceive how the time passes.
Day 7: Djeti Oguz - Oguz Bashi - Djeti Oguz
Today you will have hiking up to the glacier of Oguz Bashi. You will see many collapsible felt dwellings of nomads on the way. Yurta is made of a wooden skeleton that is covered by felt. You will have a good picnic with a view of the glacier and then we will return to the camp.
Day 8: Djeti Oguz
In the morning in this pictorial gorge you will have time to walk. You can choose what to do, because you will have several guides. Some could hike to a mountain waterfall; the others can walk off down the gorge to a health resort that was built in Soviet time. It will be possible to take a bath there with hot springs and have massage if you wish. Otherwise you can hike to the Red rocks that have unusual forms. Because of these rocks the whole gorge was named; Djeti Oguz means "7 bulls". Without a doubt it looks like huge bulls from a far distance. Also you will see there the Broken Heart and your guides will tell you a beautiful legend about this Mountain. In the evening you will taste national meal - kurdak. You could also participate in its making and reveal all secrets of nomadic cuisine. You will enjoy Kyrgyz Folklore show. During your farewell mountain dinner you will listen to our nomadic songs and unusual national Kyrgyz instruments.
Day 9: Djeti Oguz - Issyk Kul Lake
After packing your backpacks, at 9 o'clock you are to be served breakfast. Next you will have
hiking down to the Djeti Oguz gorge, it has a nice mountain river that flows along the whole gorge. When we will come to the bottom of the gorge there is a scenic view on Djeti Oguz rocks and red mountains, you can walk for 15 minutes on the top of the nearest mountain. Then you will be transferred to the Issyk Kul Lake northern shore which is second largest mountain lake in the world ( it is situated at the altitude of1608m.above sea level). Lake is also known as "the pearl of Central Asia". Dinner is to be served in a guesthouse, where you are to spend the night.
Day 10: Issyk Kul - Bishkek
At 8 o'clock you will have breakfast. The start of our trip back to Bishkek city (the capital of Kyrgyzstan). You will have time to go for a walk around Bishkek and to buy souvenirs. At 7 p.m. a farewell dinner is served.
Day 11: Flight home
Early in the morning departure to the airport.
