Day 1: Almaty
We are glad to organize you Silk Road melody Tour 3. When you arrive at the airport, you will be met by the guide who accompanies you to the city. On arrival, you will have the city tour and explore the famous places as the Green Bazaar. Visit the Panfilov Park and see the wooden building as Zenkov Cathedral. In the second part of day we will travel to the Medeo Gorge where you can see the highest mountain skating rink in the world as well as Shymbulak resort. We will move on visiting the Kok-Tobe hill with the tallest TV tower in the world. The panorama view will impress our travelers on tours. Further you can see the whole city by the famous Almaty cableway. Transfer to a hotel for rest.
Day 2: Almaty - Charyn - Kegen border - Karakol
Today we will travel to Karakol, Kyrgyzstan. First visit Charyn gorge which is about 12 million years old. The canyon appeared due to wind, sun and rain. It is a great idea to have 3 hours to reach canyon and learn more about its history as well as development. The beauty of its landscape, scenery just on point! You will see the wonderful panoramic view and take lots of photos. Afterwards you will cross the Kegen border and meet your guide. Then we will drive to Karakol city and visit the Dungan mosque as well as an old wooden Orthodox Church. Transfer to the guest house for rest.
Day 3: Karakol - Jeti Oguz - Issyk Kul southern shore - Kochkor
The tour will start by visiting Jeti Oguz or Seven Bulls. On arrival, you will find seven red rocks which are close to each other. Here you can find the famous Broken Heart Mountain full of legends, the guide will tell about. Don't miss to hike and take beautiful photos of panorama. We are sure our travelers will love it. Then we will go to Bokonbaeva village. It is best idea to meet with an eagle hunter and participate in eagle hunting. For sure you will like this entertainment on tours. When we arrive at Kochkor village, you will meet with Kyrgyz family and learn more how to make Kyrgyz national carpets. Night is in a home stay.
Day 4: Kochkor - Son Kul Lake
We are happy to announce the next destination of our tour where you can visit the sacred lake as Son Kul. It is located on elevation 3 013 meters above sea level. This lake is considered to be saint due to its calmness. Our travelers will have an idea to meet nomads and learn more about their lifestyle. Naryn's herders used this land pastureland. Walking among nature and enjoying fresh air, you will remember this day for a long time. Overnight is in nomadic felt dwellings - yurts
Day 5: Son Kul - Chon Kemin
Today we will drive to Kochkor village. Our interesting tour will pass by the wonderful gorge and Kalmak Ashu pass of 3 225 meters high. The road will attract your attention and make you take outstanding photos. The rich culture of Kyrgyz people will not leave you indifferent. Here you will the shining view of panorama and have a short hiking tour. Afterwards your night will be spent in a home stay.
Day 6: Chon Kemin - Burana - Bishkek
In the morning you will have 3 hours for horse riding. You will have a chance to ride among beautiful forests and enjoy nature. Don't miss for photoshoot on tours. We will leave this amazing gorge and visit Burana Tower of the 11th century. In past times, traders crossed this road. Near you can see the stone warrior or Balbals. They were built for soldiers who fought for protection of Motherland. In the end of day, we will be in Bishkek and spend night is in a cozy hotel.
Day 7: Bishkek - Ala Archa - Bishkek
The first part of day will start from the city tour. Visit the most attractive places of Bishkek as the Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic and others. In the second part of day we will drive to Ala Archa National Park. It will take for about 45 km from capital. The beautiful place as the Ala Archa gorge is located on the ridge of the Tian Shan mountain range. You can admire the beautiful view of panorama and take vibrant photos. Transfer to hotel.
Day 8: Bishkek - Osh
We are glad to present the next day of our tour where you will have flight from Bishkek to Osh city. No doubt you will be impressed by this city on tours. On arrival, visit the Suleiman Mountain. It is located in the center of the city and considered to be the main place of pilgrimage of local Muslims. It was said that the prophet Solomon (Suleiman, from the Koran) was buried at the foot of it. In the afternoon, visit the famous Asian Bazaar. We are sure you will like to immerse into busy life of local people. Night is in a hotel.
Day 9: Osh - Guliston border - Khujand
The morning will start by crossing the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. On the other side you will be bet by the guide and travel to Khujand city. It is the second largest city located on the Syr Darya River near the Fergana Valley. It is worth saying that the population here is about 149,000. Today it is the most northern domain of Tajikistan, called Sughd. In the second part of day you will visit the Cultural Palace of Khujand where the first president of Tajikistan elected. Further, see the Central Mosque and explore the light city. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 10: Khujand - Penjakent
Today you will travel to Penjakent via the famous Shahriston Pas. You will find it located on altitude 3 378 m. It is also known as Five villages on Khujand area of Tajikistan in brilliant Zeravshan river valley. On the way you will be told about its history and gain new experience. The site was built in 5th- 8th century AD. Nowadays it is not only cultural center of Sogd but also crafting center which is also called the"Central Asian Pompeii". It was well a good city with ruler's palace, two temples, markets, rich dwelling houses decorated with numerous paintings, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods. Today, travelers can learn more about its ruins of houses and other buildings, the citadel with the palace, the house of craftsmen, and fire worshipers church. Transfer to hotel for sleep.
Day 11: Penjakent - Jarpeto - Samarkand
The tour will start by transferring to Tajik - Uzbek border. On arrival, your guide will meet you and transfer to Samarkand. Samarkand is the second largest city of Uzbekistan and located in the valley of the river Zerafshan. It looks like ancient cities as Babylon or Rome. Visit amazing structures as Registan square, Shakhi-Zindeh, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque. Registan square has beautiful three Madrasahs of 15th- 17th century. One of the lovely place among travelers. See the unique Shakhi-Zindeh of 11th- 15th centuries where you can see the rich collection of mausoleums. Bibi Khanum mosque must be seen on tours. It was built for Tamerlane's wife, when he came back from India. Night is in a hotel.
Day 12: Samarkand - Bukhara (train)
In the morning you will have transfer to Bukhara by train. Meet your city tour and visit the Bahauddin Naqshbandi complex of Sufi Leader and Philosopher. The place is considered to be the Muslim pilgrimage. Sheikh Bakhauddin Nakshbandi was one of the unworldly masters of Amir Timur and has mosques of Kushbegi and Muzafarohana, courtyard with pool, madrasah, and burial dome of Bukhara potentates and Dakhma upon the tomb of Saint Bakhauddin Nakshbandi. Don't miss to visit the famous Sitorai Mohi Hosa complex which is considered to be Bukhara Emirs' scenery abode. This complex was built in different art. It was named for Emir's wife who died young - "Star - like and moon - like Palace". Return to the city and rest in a hotel.
Day 13: Bukhara
Today you will have the city tour Bukhara. Visit the past citadel in Bukhara found in the 4th century and called the Citadel Ark. In ancient times it had some dynasties of Bukhara Empire. Then you can visit the Samanids mausoleum found in the 9th -10th century. Afterwards we will travel to see Chashma Ayub or "job's well" and Bolo-Hauz mosque. It is the famous mosque of forty columns dedicated to Bukhara governor Abu-Fayud Khan. Walking among narrow streets you will see the shopping domes as well as madrasahs - Nodir Divan Begi of the famous Lyabi House Ensemble. Move on visiting Poi Kalon complex which is considered to be the unique sample of architectural art of Bukhara. You will see three structures and was built in the 12th - 16th centuries and they are: Kalon minaret, Kalon mosque and Mir Arab Madrasah. Transfer to hotel for rest.
Day 14: Bukhara - Tashkent
In the morning, you will fly or travel by train to Tashkent. On arrival, you will visit the main square which was placed to the victory over fascism in World War II. Then you will travel to local Broadway where you can see metro of Tashkent. First line of the metro was opened in 1977. Visit the old parts as Chorsu Bazaar, Kukaldash Madrasah and Hast Imam complex and see several madrasahs, mosques and mausoleum. It is imporntat to important to visit the Othman Quran. It is the world's oldest Quran copy of 8th century. It was the part of Othman Ibn Affan, the Third Caliph (of the four honorable Caliphs who flourished the prophet Muhammad), but unfortunately Othman was killed by non-muslims in 8th century where his blood spred over the Quran pages. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 15: Tashkent - Chimgan Mountains - Tashkent
In the morning, you will be transferred to Chimgan Mountains. On your route you will be impressed by chair lift and where you can see Beldersay peak of 30 min one-way. Don't miss to stop and take photos on tours. Afterwards you will relax at Charvak lakeside beach. Here you will be impressed by water activities and one of the greatest tours. In addition, you will see the reservoir. Return back to Tashkent. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 16: Flight
Transfer to airport and flight to your destination. End of Silk Road melody Tour 3!
